There are many television shows out that that can get people out of there seat. There is NCIS, Law and Order, and Suits. Well I have the one that is better than all of those put together, 24. 24 is a TV action drama that comes on Mondays nights on Fox at 9pm. This show is about a man named Jack Bauer, who use to work for the Counter terrorist unit in Los Angles. That was 4 years ago and this episode is the finale for “Live another day” a shorter version of the 24 hour day Jack use to have to fight.

            This is the 9^th season of 24, so they call it the 9^th day, and on this day Jack, who came out of hiding to help the President of the United States from an attack on his life. This current episode is now 10 hours in the day and Jack is looking for an old enemy named Chang who has a device that can launch military strikes from the US military. While looking for Chang, Jack finds out that Audrey, who is President Heller’s daughter, and Jacks old love interest before he went into hiding, is now caught between a snipers gun and will be shot if Chang is followed. Jack tells his partner Kate Morgan to go get Audrey because he is on direct orders from President Heller to get Chang before the US goes to war with China. Kate finds Audrey and saves her from the sniper, but as they are walking to the car, a man jumps out and starts shooting at them hitting Audrey. Audrey is dead, and Kate has to tell Jack the bad news. When Jack finds out, he goes well all jack Bauer on the bad guys and finds Chang. Jack calls the President to let him he is captured, and after the President get what he needs as proof of Chang is the bad guy, Jack looks at Chang and says this is for Audrey and decapitates Chang’s head with a sword. Now that the device is in safe hands and Chang is dead President Heller can finally bury his daughter with peace. Now for Jack he get a phone call saying he will be there and to set it up to whoever is on the other line. When jack pulls up to the meeting spot a helicopter lands and out comes Chloe O’Brien, Jacks long lasted coworker and friend. Jack walks over to the Russians who have wanted Jack Bauer dead for years and tells Chloe to go home and never look back and gets in the helicopter and it takes off. The End.

            This show is so exciting. You know that Jack Bauer is going to save the day, but how, who is he going to torture or is he going to get tortured. There are so many different expectations that you think are going to happen and they do, but with such a better twist. This show is also exciting because of  all the different locations they shot from like LA, New York, and London, you get to see many different attractions and what a real life CIA, or FBI agent might go through. This show is obviously not real, but the content could be and probably is almost like real life.  What makes this show better than any other action drama is that it is based off of a 24 hour day, not just one episode after another or one crime to another!

            There are a lot of different stereotypes in this show in my opinion. This show believes in violence, torture, killing and guns. It is there selling point. It is what their main character like to do. There is no show on like that because of how sensitive people are to TV shows or other reasons. This show also stereotypes terrorism, and how it is dealt with in not just the US but everywhere. It shows how people can look at all this type of violence and maybe get a little idea of what real life agents go through. I mean come on Jack Bauer had to come from someone who is like him. I am sure people who come from other countries and watch 24 can relate to the characters or what is going on in the world because it is happening everywhere, so it should not give the show a bad name.

            Some critics have a lot of good things to say about the show like “Jack indeed returned in the show's debut episode Monday night, reminding me of all the reasons I used to devote an hour a week to the action-packed show” or “It's always good to see an old friend, and an old pro in action. Live Another Day gives us both”. Those both wee from rotten tomatoes and all them can be read at this link.

            I hope everyone can get a chance to watch this show and enjoy as much as me and my wife have because not having a little Jack Bauer in your life is just wrong. There is 9 seasons total and they are all different and the same in some way, you just have to enjoy them and follow them, and yell go Jack, save the world…….
